This 1958 Porsche 356A 1600S cabriolet is finished in Ruby Red over black leather and is powered by a 1.6-liter Super flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a black soft top, 15? Rudge knock-off wheels, orange Koni shocks, a factory Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, and bucket seats. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2021, and work in 2024 consisted of replacing the clutch, flywheel, generator, and left rear axle seals. This 356A cabriolet is now offered on dealer consignment with a copy of its Kardex, a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, a Porsche Classic battery tender, an indoor car cover, and a clean California title.

The car came finished from the factory in Ruby Red (5802) and was repainted under prior ownership. Features include a black soft top, sealed-beam headlights, dual side mirrors, vent windows, and bumper overriders.

The car was factory equipped with drum brakes at each corner. Orange Koni shocks are fitted, and the left rear axle boot and seals were replaced in July 2024.

Rudge 15? knock-off wheels came optioned from the factory, and date codes of all five are shown above. Vredestein Sprint Classics 165-width tires are mounted all around.

The fixed-back bucket seats were reupholstered from beige to black leather under prior ownership. Interior appointments include a factory Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, a passenger-side grab handle, lap belts, and a body-color painted dashboard.

The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central 6k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge monitoring oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 72k miles, approximately 1,500 miles of which were added under current ownership. The fuel level gauge and oil temperature gauge were repaired in 2022.

The 1.6-liter Super Type 616/2 flat-four came equipped from the factory with dual Zenith carburetors. The distributor cap and rotor were replaced in October 2021 and work in July 2024 involved replacing the generator and starter relay.

The engine stamp reads P*81927*, which matches the engine number noted on the copy of the Kardex below.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle stamped with the identification number 19456, which which matches the transmission number also listed on the Kardex. A replacement clutch and flywheel were installed in July 2024.

A copy of the Kardex indicates distribution via Brundage Motors Inc. of Miami Springs, Florida, as well as the factory color, options, and powertrain numbers.
