Vehicle Overview
This 1985 Rolls-Royce Corniche is a Japanese-market example that was imported to the US in April 2016 and was acquired by the current owner in 2018. The car is finished in Royal Blue over tan leather upholstery and is powered by a 6.75-liter V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated white soft top, a matching boot cover, 15? steel wheels with whitewall tires, quad headlights with wipers, fog lights, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a JVC stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer. This Corniche convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with import documents, an August 2019 service invoice, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Royal Blue (9510457) with gold pinstripes and features a power-operated white convertible top along with a matching boot cover. Additional exterior details include a Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, quad headlight with wipers, fog lamps, and dual exhaust outlets. The convertible top is discolored, and a paint blemish on the body-color rear bumper and front spoiler are shown up close in the gallery below.
Steel 15? wheels wear bright trim rings as well as Rolls-Royce-branded covers and are mounted with 235/70 Silvertown Radial whitewall tires. The right rear wheel cover is missing its Rolls-Royce emblem. Factory equipment includes a four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs and a hydraulic self-leveling system. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners.
The power-adjustable front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in tan leather while burl wood trim accents the cabin. Blue Rolls-Royce-branded floor mats line the footwells, and amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, a locking glove compartment, and a JCV stereo linked to a trunk-mounted CD changer. The trim around the stereo is damaged and the carpeting in the trunk is torn.
The leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel frames a 225-km/h speedometer, a warning lamp panel, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 87k kilometers (~54k miles). A mileage inconsistency is listed on the Carfax report in April 2023, though the report notes that it may be the result of a clerical error.
The 6.75-liter V8 was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The catalytic converters were replaced in September 2016, at which time the fuel injection system was removed and a carburetor was installed. The ignition system was replaced in August 2019.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a GM-sourced three-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
The current California title lists the VIN as SCAZD0002FCX10334, which matches the stamping shown above in the engine bay as well as the VIN displayed on the California vehicle information sticker on the driver’s door jamb. Additional photos showing serial number ZDX10334 are presented in the gallery.
