This 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III is a left-hand drive example finished in white over blue leather and powered by a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The car is said to have been delivered new in Florida, subsequently relocating to Iowa and Indiana prior to its current owner’s acquisition in 2007. Equipment includes four headlights, wide-whitewall tires, burl wood interior trim, and an aftermarket trunk-mounted air conditioning system. Brake system refurbishment, distributor work, an engine tune-up, a cooling system flush, and rust removal work were completed in June 2019. This Silver Cloud III is now offered on dealer consignment with a tool kit and a clean California title.
The car is said to have been refurbished in its current white in 1997. Details include Series III-specific quadruple headlights, a chrome grille with a Spirit of Ecstasy ornament, bright beltline moldings, and tinted windows.
Steel 15? wheels wear polished hubcaps with body-colored accents and Firestone Deluxe Champion wide-whitewall tires. The four-wheel drum brake system was overhauled in June 2019.
The cabin is trimmed in blue leather with matching door panels and carpets, while burl walnut lines the door tops and dashboard. Amenities include electric windows, rear tray tables, and an aftermarket trunk-mounted air conditioning system. The heater was refurbished in June 2019, and a Jensen cassette stereo is fitted but does not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a combination gauge, and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, 9k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The all-aluminum overhead-valve 6.25L V8 sits beneath a centrally-hinged hood and a black air cleaner housing. The engine is fed by twin SU carburetors with black-painted bells and features a PerTronix Flame-Thrower ignition coil. The distributor was refurbished, a tune-up was performed, and the cooling system was flushed in June 2019.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission. Additional photos showing the floors, suspension, and underbody corrosion are provided below.
