This 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe is finished in Iris Blue Metallic, and it has been modified with an RSR-style front valance, a rear spoiler, Sparco racing seats, RJS Racing harnesses, a roll bar, a Clubsport-style steering wheel, and an Alpine stereo with aftermarket speakers. Power is from a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle, and additional equipment includes Iris Blue-finished 16? Fuchs alloy wheels, a power-operated sunroof, air conditioning, and a fire extinguisher. The car has spent the last three decades in California, and it was acquired in March 2007 by the current owner, who commissioned an engine overhaul in December 2010. This Carrera coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with a window sticker, service records, spare and removed parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Iris Blue Metallic and has been modified with an RSR-style front valance, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, a rear tow hook, and an asymmetrical air inlet in place of the right corner marker lamp. The rear bumperettes have been removed along with the headlamp washers, and the engine lid features white “69” graphics in place of badging. Additional features include a power sunroof and fog lamps. Variations in color can be seen between body panels, and paint chips are present up front.
Iris Blue-finished 16? Fuchs alloy wheels measure 16×7? in the front and 16×8? in the rear, and are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE11A tires that were installed in May 2014. The suspension is said to be fitted with Elephant Racing components and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The Sparco racing seats are upholstered in blue cloth with patterned inserts, and they are equipped with RJS Racing harnesses. A roll bar has been fitted in place of the rear seats, and a fire extinguisher is mounted in the driver’s footwell. Additional appointments include air conditioning, an Alpine stereo, aftermarket door speakers, cruise control, and power windows. The dash is said to have been replaced under current ownership.
The Clubsport-style steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation, and the tachometer and the 170-mph speedometer have both been rotated 90° counterclockwise. The six-digit odometer shows 380k miles, approximately 160k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.2-liter M930/21 flat-six was factory rated at 202 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. 964-specification camshafts were installed during an engine overhaul that was completed in December 2010, and a Steve Wong Performance ECU chip is also fitted along with a replacement catalytic convertor. An additional ECU chip and a catalytic convertor bypass pipe are included in the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Peninsula Porsche in Seaside, California, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $41,213.
The sale includes spare and removed parts as shown in the gallery below.
