Presented by Mohr Imports Monterey, member of Bring a Trailer's Local Partners Program.
This 1984 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe is a European-market example that was fitted with slantnose bodywork as part of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) program. The car was sold new in Hamburg, Germany, and imported into the US by Canepa Motorcars in June 1986. It was acquired by the current owner from the consigning dealer in 1993 and has remained registered in California since. Finished in Grand Prix White over black leather, the car is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six mated to a four-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes 16? BBS RS wheels, pop-up headlamps, front fog lights, a power-operated sunroof, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, Recaro Idealsitz C front seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, an electronic boost gauge, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. This 911 Turbo slantnose is offered on dealer consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Upshift 2024 Collection with manufacturer’s literature, service records, a tool kit, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, an accident-free Carfax report, and a California title.
The car is finished in Grand Prix White (L909) and equipped with flachbau bodywork fitted by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department. It was optioned without front fender louvers, and further exterior details include side strakes, extended side sills, pop-up headlamps with washers, fog lights, a power-operated sunroof, a heated windshield, a rear window wiper, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. The front bumper cover was repaired and refinished in 2007, and scrapes are noted along its underside. A replacement power-adjustable right mirror was installed in 2023. A collection of paint meter readings is viewable in the gallery below.
Silver-finished 16? BBS RS multi-piece wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE730 tires measuring 205/55 up front and 245/45 out back. A temporary spare is stored in the front trunk compartment. Stopping power is provided by black Porsche-script calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The cabin features Recaro Idealsitz C front seats upholstered in black leather and equipped with adjustable bolsters, power adjustment controls, manual adjustment knobs, and fore/aft position handles. The center console houses a clock and VDO gauges for voltage and outside temperature. Additional appointments include power windows, rear lap belts, and a Blaupunkt Köln SQR 23 cassette stereo and equalizer. The top of the dashpad shows wear.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel wears a Porsche crest and fronts VDO instrumentation that includes a central tachometer with an inset oil pressure gauge as well as a replacement 180-mph speedometer, a pair of combination gauges, and an optional electronic boost gauge. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 83k miles, approximately 40k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six was factory rated at approximately 297 horsepower and features a single turbocharger with a top-mount air-to-air intercooler. The car was optioned with a center oil cooler, and an oil change was performed in August 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The consigning dealer notes corrosion on underbody components.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists factory serial numbers, colors, and optional equipment. Manufacturer’s literature, service records since 1993, two keys, a tool kit, and a tire compressor are included in the sale.
