Vehicle Overview
Ended on Bring a Trailer Auctions : 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 This 1973 Porsche 914 was listed on BaT in November 2022 and was subsequently acquired by the current owner, who commissioned a rebuild of its five-speed manual transaxle in January 2023. The car is powered by an air-cooled 2.0L flat-four and is finished in yellow over beige upholstery, and it is equipped with 15? Fuchs-style wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a removable Targa top, fog lights, bright-finished bumpers, and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM push-button radio. This 914 is now offered on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, partial service records, a tool roll, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name. The car left the factory finished in Sunshine Yellow (L13K) and was repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include pop-up headlights, fog lights, a black removable Targa top, and bright-finished trim, bumpers, and side mirrors. This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in December 2023 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded. Fuchs-style 15? alloy wheels are mounted with 205/65 Falken Sincera SN201 A/S tires that show 2021 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The fixed-back bucket seats are trimmed in beige upholstery joined by color-coordinated carpets and door panels. Interior elements include three-point seat belts, a center console, a locking glove compartment, and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM push-button radio. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and a fuel level gauge, while an analog clock and gauges for engine temperature and voltage are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer is said to have rolled over and is currently inoperative. True mileage is unknown. The mid-mounted 2.0L flat-four features Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection. Corrosion in the engine bay was repaired during an engine-out service under previous ownership, and an oil change and valve adjustment were performed and the pushrod tube seals were replaced in January 2023. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt by Aase Motors of Fullerton, California in January 2023. An aftermarket exhaust with a MagnaFlow muffler has been fitted. Records detailing the ~$6k worth of work performed under current ownership are included in the sale along with a tool roll and owner’s literature.
