Presented by Mohr Imports Monterey, member of Bring a Trailer's Local Partners Program.
This 2016 Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is one of 250 examples produced, 50 of which were designated for delivery to North America, and was purchased new by the current owner from British Motor Car Distributors in San Francisco, California. The car is finished in Ultra Blue over Jet Black quilted leather, and power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled rear differential. Equipment includes a carbon-fiber front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear wing as well as 20? wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, an active exhaust system, a removable rain fly and rear window, power-adjustable and heated seats, xenon headlights, a Meridian sound system, and a touchscreen infotainment system. This Project 7 has 8k miles and is offered on dealer consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Monterey Collection Sale with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, accessories, service records, a Jaguar Certificate of Authenticity, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The Project 7 was based on the F-Type convertible and was restyled by Cesar Pieri under direction from Ian Callum. This example’s aluminum bodywork is finished in Ultra Blue and features white accents on the front end and matching roundels on the doors and the deck lid. Aerodynamic alterations include a fairing behind the driver in a nod to the 1950s D-Type race car as well as a front splitter, a rear diffuser, and a rear wing. The Project 7 forgoes the F-Type’s typical folding convertible top in lieu of a snap-on rainfly. XPEL paint protection film was applied over the entirety of the body in April 2016.
Factory 20? wheels are finished in black and mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 255/35 up front and 295/30 in the rear. Braking is handled by yellow multi-piston calipers over carbon-ceramic rotors, and the F-Type suspension was retuned for the Project 7.
The cockpit features power-adjustable memory seats upholstered in Jet Black leather with quilted inserts, Ivory contrast stitching, and debossed Project 7 logos on the headrests. Additional features include carbon-fiber trim, automatic climate control, parking sensors, and an infotainment system with an 8? touchscreen.
A multi-function and heated steering wheel sits ahead of factory instrumentation that includes a 220-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a configurable digital display. The odometer shows 8k miles.
The supercharged and intercooled 5.0-liter V8 produced a factory-rated 575 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque in the Project 7. An oxygen sensor was replaced in October 2019 by British Motor Car Distributors. A California SMOG test was performed in July 2023.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled active differential. The car is equipped with an active exhaust system, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the image gallery.
The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 Certificate of Authenticity indicates the factory color scheme, engine number, and a February 4, 2016, build date. The window sticker provided in the gallery shows delivery to British Motor Car Distributors as well as a total suggested retail price of $165,995.
A car model, a signed helmet, a Project 7 car cover, literature, and accessories are also included in the sale.
