Vehicle Overview
This is a 1977 Ford Bronco 4x4 with 'Ranger & Northland Special' Packages This incredible unrestored 1977 Ford Bronco Ranger is a lifelong California truck, having been delivered new to Mid Cal Ford in Fresno, California, in June 1977. From that time on, this superb Bronco would have just two owners over the next 40 years, the first for 21 and the second for 19. One of the most impressive aspects of this blue-plate California Bronco is that it retains all of its factory-original Light Jade paint and Ranger decals. On the inside it features the upgraded houndstooth Jade Cloth Ranger interior with full carpet, deluxe door panels and more. It is also loaded with factory options including the desirable Ranger package, Northland Special Package, factory automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, skid plates, California emissions and reduced noise package, auxiliary fuel tank with skid plate, the convenience group, extra cooling package, heavy-duty front and rear shocks, front stabilizer bar and more. Additionally, when new, the original owner had Mid Cal Ford install fiberglass rear fender flares and air conditioning prior to delivery. A Deluxe Marti Report confirms its original build configuration. In early 2017, this remarkable survivor found its way into the home of its third owner, noted Ford collector, historian and Early Bronco enthusiast Colin Comer. The Bronco’s original 302 CI V-8 engine has been professionally rebuilt, balanced and blueprinted and is mated to its original, rebuilt C4 automatic and 3.50:1 limited-slip axles. A comprehensive restoration of all other mechanical systems was undertaken, including the suspension, braking, cooling and fuel systems, as well as new shocks and 32-inch BFG Radial All Terrain KO tires all around. On the inside, the entire interior of the truck was removed and cleaned, and Dynamat sound-deadening material was installed under the headliner, in the doors and tailgate, and within the rear quarter panels prior to re-installation. These final-year Early Broncos are the most coveted of the breed. But this three-owner, heavily optioned, original-paint Ranger in the stunning color combination of Light Jade over a Jade Cloth interior is the type of Bronco rarely seen on the open market. It certainly presents an opportunity for somebody who desires a thoroughly sorted and exceptionally well-preserved, unrestored example of the most popular vintage SUV there is.
