This 1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello is a Canadian-market example that was delivered new to Maranello Sports in Toronto, Ontario, and it experienced approximately two decades of storage in a non-running state prior to a reconditioning service performed in British Columbia in March 2022. Work at that time included replacing the timing belt, alternator belt, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel tank, and various gaskets and seals. The car was subsequently brought to the US and registered in Colorado in December 2022. It is powered by a 5.5-liter V12 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Nero over gray leather. Equipment includes 18? five-spoke alloy wheels, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, power-adjustable Daytona-style seats, a gated shifter, a cassette stereo, and automatic climate control. This 550 Maranello shows 10k kilometers (~6k miles) and is now offered on dealer consignment in California with the owner’s manual, a maintenance booklet, service records, tools, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title.
The 550 Maranello was styled by Pininfarina, and this example is finished in Nero (1250). Equipment includes projector-style headlights, fog lights, a hood scoop, a front spoiler, front fender vents, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and quad exhaust tips exiting through the rear bumper cover. The front spoiler was refinished, paint touch-ups were performed, and dings were removed in preparation for the sale. The right taillamp lens is a replacement. Cracks are noted in the paint on the front bumper cover.
The 18? five-spoke wheels have been refinished and are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus tires. Braking is handled by red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated rotors at all four corners.
The cabin features power-adjustable Daytona-style seats upholstered in gray leather. Amenities include a gated shifter, automatic climate control, electric windows, a Ferrari-branded cassette stereo, a hi-fi sound system, and rear luggage straps. Work in preparation for the sale included repairing a seat bolster, and remaining imperfections include sticky buttons, worn seat bolsters, and imperfections on the edge of the driver door.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel fronts a Jaeger gauge cluster with a 340-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure, while an analog clock and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are located atop the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 10k kilometers (~6k miles), approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. A bubble can be seen in the steering wheel center.
The 5.5-liter quad-cam F133A V12 features 48 valves, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic engine management for a factory-rated output of 478 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. The car was reportedly stored in a non-running condition for approximately two decades until March 2022, when a reconditioning service was performed. Work included replacing the timing belt, alternator belt, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel tank, and various gaskets and seals. A related invoice is shown in the gallery below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
Manufacturer’s literature, two key fobs, a tool kit, and service records are included in the sale.
