This 1998 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta is said to have been sold new by Ogner Motorcars Inc. in Woodland Hills, California, and was purchased by its current owner on BaT in August 2020. Finished in black over beige leather, it is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 linked to a gated six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 18? wheels, retractable headlamps, an aftermarket exhaust system, automatic climate control, and a Kenwood CD player. An engine-out service in 2021 included the replacement of the timing belt, engine gaskets, water pump, engine mounts, and more as detailed below. This F355 shows 14k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment in California with manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, a tool kit, spare parts, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Nero D.S. 1250 and features retractable headlights, fog lights, an integrated rear decklid spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, a vented engine cover, and air intakes on the doors and rocker panels. “Minor to moderate” damage to the front, left rear, and rear of the car is noted on the Carfax report in September 2007. Paint meter readings are presented in the gallery.
Five-spoke 18? wheels are wrapped in 225/40 front and 265/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires showing 2019 and 2020 date codes. Ferrari-branded brake calipers are mounted over vented discs at each corner.
The cabin features sport seats trimmed in beige Connelly leather, and matching leather extends to the center console, door panel inserts, and lower dashboard. Amenities include a gated aluminum shifter, aluminum pedals, automatic climate control, and a Kenwood CD player. The driver-side climate vent is damaged, the climate control panel trim is wavy, there is a stain on the headliner, and the leather trim on the passenger-side airbag cover is shrinking.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. Ancillary instruments in the center stack include an analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 14k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.5-liter DOHC V8 features five valves per cylinder and dry-sump lubrication for a factory-rated output of 375 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. An engine-out service in May 2021 included the replacement of the timing belts and tensioner bearings, valve cover gaskets, camshaft seals, accessory drive belts, spark plugs, fuel filter, water pump, engine mounts, and a heat exchanger hose. The valve covers were powder-coated, a trickle charger was installed, the air conditioning refrigerant was recharged, and the coolant, engine oil, and brake fluid were also changed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. An aftermarket exhaust system with Fabspeed sport catalytic converters was installed under prior ownership. The shifter seals and inner axle boots were replaced in 2021.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with a car cover, spare parts, a tool kit, and service records.
