This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 is a five-window, half-ton pickup that was overhauled before the current owner acquired it in January 2017. The truck has been refinished in black over light brown, and its rebuilt 235ci inline-six is paired with a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Additional features include a wooden bed floor, curved rear quarter windows, a split windshield, a heater, 16? steel wheels with hubcaps, and whitewall tires. This Chevy pickup is now offered on dealership consignment with a clean California title.
The truck has been refinished in black and features wood bed slats and side rails, running boards, and chrome-finished bumpers. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.
Body-matching 16? steel wheels wear replacement Chevrolet-stamped hubcaps as well as beauty rings. The wheels are mounted with 6.00-16 Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires over drum brakes at each corner. The selling dealer states that the brakes and brake lines were replaced, and the suspension has been refreshed.
The refreshed interior features a bench seat with light brown-colored upholstery and a matching dashboard and door panels. A rubber liner covers the floors, and the cab is equipped with curved rear quarter windows and a split windshield as well as a heater.
A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a column shifter for the manual transmission. Factory instrumentation includes an 80-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 200 miles, and true chassis mileage is unknown. The seller notes that the speedometer bounces.
The 235ci inline-six is said to have been rebuilt and features hydraulic camshaft lifters.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual gearbox, and the selling dealer states that the transmission and the rear end have been rebuilt. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
A walk-around video is provided above, and start-up footage is below.
